The recently re-established BHG Research Library houses our collection of resources relating to the history of Brisbane and the surrounding region. Its core is the research material accumulated by historian Dr Rod Fisher during his academic career. Now holding over 11,000 catalogued items it continues to grow with new and recent publications. Follow this link to access a simplified searchable version of the collection database.
Both members and the general public are welcome to access the material which includes published books, periodicals, various studies, maps and digitised items. It is operated as a research library.
The library is currently located in a tenancy at the River Hills Plaza, a small suburban shopping centre just off Sumners Road in the Centenary Suburbs. The address is 30 Bogong Street, River Hills. It is intended for it to be open some part of Tuesdays and Thursdays depending on volunteer availability, so please check before making the trip (contact bhgresearchlibrary@gmail.com with your details).
This part of the website will be further developed in due course to include access to our digitised publications and research material.
